1. Ranking is never for sale
Verification can be purchased. Placement cannot. No business can pay to appear first, higher, or more prominently. Directory order is never influenced by payment, advertising spend, or commercial relationship.
2. Every listing starts unverified
Whether a listing arrives from a business owner, a customer, or an AI agent, it enters the directory as not yet verified and stays there until the human verification desk completes its checks. There is no shortcut, no express lane, no exceptions process. (One standing exemption exists and is disclosed on the verification standard page.)
3. Listings are re-checked, not just checked
Booking links are re-verified on a rolling basis after listing. A business whose booking flow breaks, whose insurance lapses, or whose license expires is flagged for re-review and can lose its Verified badge. Directories rot; this one is maintained.
4. Verification means what it says
The verification standard is published in full: the human checks, the automated pre-checks, what the badge doesn't promise. If we ever change what Verified means, the page changes first and the change is dated.
5. Your data isn't the product
The public directory shows business information only — never submitter email addresses, never precise locations beyond what's needed to serve local results. We don't sell visitor or business data to data brokers. Listing submissions are rate-limited and spam-guarded; abusive submitters are blocked.
6. Agents are first-class users
AI agents may submit listings and query the directory under the published agent terms. Agent-submitted listings get the same human review as any other — the source of a submission never affects its treatment.
If you ever catch us breaking one of these, that's a bug — tell us and we'll fix it in the open.
